History of

Do Hung Museum

Introduction

Inaugurated in a prime location – 68 Nguyen Hue building, District 1 (walking street), the Vietnam’s 54 ethnic groups jewelry museum and the Nguyen’s royal museum belong to the Do Hung Museum system.

When you come here, you will experience a private museum with a completely new design style, rich and vivid display methods of a “CHẤT” (cool) private museum in Vietnam, adding another option for GenZ young people looking for a new check-in point.

Visitors will be able to reminisce and feel like they are living in the Nguyen Dynasty palace with original artifacts, utensils – costumes, art, luxurious and beautiful pastimes in the forbidden city with materials such as jade, ivory, silver, porcelain and furniture inlaid with gold, brocade, silk… Follow the historical flow of the Nguyen Dynasty through 13 kings.

Visitors will not only experience the material culture, history, and luxury of the Nguyen Dynasty, but also the “revelation” of interesting stories in the forbidden city. Finally, GenZ can take photos for free on the king’s throne, the queen’s palanquin, the queen’s carriage, the crown, and the king and queen’s ceremonial robes in a 10/10 degree of accuracy of color.

Specially, newlyweds can also come to the queen’s carriage to take wedding photos together with each other, looking as powerful as a real king and queen. Next is the experience of “changing the wind” right here at the Museum of Jewelry of 54 Vietnamese Ethnicities.

Although they have the same “origin”, common language, under one flag, under one Vietnamese roof, but within that “common culture”, the 54 ethnic groups of Vietnam also have their own unique characteristics, as well as their own personality, identity, language, beliefs, customs, housing, festivals, cuisine…

Therefore, the Museum of Jewelry of 54 Vietnamese Ethnicities was born with 54 collections of original artifacts dating from 2,500 years ago to the 20th century, with materials such as gold, silver, jade, ivory, amber, agate, quartz, lapis lazuli, crystal, pearls, mother-of-pearl, tortoise shell (Nguyen Dynasty) to introduce and reflect the 54 vibrant, beautiful, and unique “colors” of the puzzle, a tapestry of emotions, to domestic and international visitors.

More than 20 years of hibernation in the “safe” are now honored to be introduced to the public, we hope to receive your support.
