Gold-plated porcelain artifacts
The set of gold-plated porcelain artifacts below was ordered by King Khai Dinh in France in May 1922, during his visit to France to attend the colonial fair in Marseille (the first time a Nguyen Dynasty king went abroad) – Decoration: gold-plated in the center of the plate and on the body of other artifacts – a royal emblem (the emperor’s personal emblem); with the Chinese character “Khai Dinh” – Made by DORE’A SERES – produced in 1922.
