The E-de are an ethnic group with traditional settlements in central Vietnam and northeastern Cambodia. Recognized as one of Vietnam’s 54 ethnic groups, their population in 2019 was 402,000. The E-de language belongs to the Chamic subgroup of the Malayo-Polynesian branch of the Austronesian language family.
