DAO:
The Dao are one of the 54 officially recognized ethnic groups in Vietnam, with a population of 891,151 according to the 2019 Census. They reside in villages scattered throughout the mountainous provinces of northern Vietnam, including Cao Bang, Ha Giang, Lao Cai, Yen Bai, Lai Chau, and Tuyen Quang, as well as some northern midland provinces. Linguistically, the Dao language belongs to the Hmong-Dao language family.
