MUONG
The Muong are one of the 54 officially recognized ethnic groups in Vietnam, primarily residing in the midland and mountainous areas of Northern Vietnam. Their language, Muong, belongs to the Viet-Muong group within the Austroasiatic language family’s Viet branch. As of 2019, the Muong population stands at 1,452,095, with the highest concentration in Hoa Binh province.
